AJP recently moved to using Pebble Geo after many years using an alternative product for producing logs, this was a big decision for the geo team, but it is one we have not regretted in the slightest.

The software is easier to use and, in our opinion, produces much nicer looking logs (the colour option is great). The ability to input logs straight into the simple excel form has meant after many years of toying with the idea we have finally invested in rugged tablets for all site engineers, this is saving the team a vast amount of time, and simplified workflows.

Our main driver for looking at alternative logging software providers was a better level of customer service and support - the team have been fantastic on this front and have always responded very quickly to any queries that we have had.

Arc Environmental

Arc Environmental Limited have been using Pebble Geo, with multiple licenses, for our ground investigation logging for the past year, and it’s become an essential part of our workflow. It is very easy to use, with helpful prompts, and produces professional trial pit and borehole logs including a useful legends and key page, scaled cross-sections, the opportunity to add photographs, side by side graphic logs, probes / DCPs, exploratory hole location plans linked to OS mapping, aerial photography, BGS data, backfill installation details, SPT N or SPT N60 v depth / reduced level plots, etc. It saves us a lot of time compared to our previous system with better outputs.

The software is very reliable in both desktop and web formats, and the support team is quick to respond and genuinely interested in resolving issues or taking on board suggestions.

It is clear the software is developed and constantly updated by people who understand the day-to-day requirements of geo-environmental and geotechnical consultants, and we highly recommend it.

We trialled Pebble Geo as an alternative to one of the significantly more expensive software platforms run by a larger company after learning of an upcoming price increase that was prohibitively expensive for a small-midsized company.

All of our staff got used to using Pebble Geo very quickly and prefer the software to other alternatives due to the simplicity of inputting data, to creating logs and other outputs. We also find it beneficial that additional functionality is regularly added to Pebble Geo and that the support team are very responsive and helpful.

We’ve been using Pebble Geo for a while now, and it’s honestly made life a lot easier for our team. The software is straightforward — you open it, enter the data and everything just works the way you expect. There’s no messing around with complicated setups or long training sessions.

GVR Geo switched to using Pebble Geo 2 years ago and have found it to be a very straightforward professional logging package. It has vastly improved our log production process. It is very cost-effective, relatively straight forward and flexible to use and it is improving constantly with the ability to include strata photographs, generate sample lists, test results, exploratory hole location plans, cross-sections and more.

New Geosciences Limited

After establishing New Geosciences Limited, we were seeking logging software that would be simple to use and cost-effective for a small business. The free trial offered by Pebble Geo was a very useful introduction to the software and was easy to set up. Within minutes we had created a well formatted engineering log that included all the information required and was easily identifiable as ours by the inclusion of our logo.

Outputs can be easily customised, and additional features such as adding photos to logs, creating cross-sections and location plans, and recording the results of soakaway and dynamic cone penetrometer tests are very useful.

We have also been impressed by the regular updates and improvements made to the software, and by the very prompt responses from the team to our questions. We would have no hesitation in recommending Pebble Geo.
